The Utopian Genesis server is our experimental, less serious Utopia server in the Swirve.com Network and serves as a sort of testing ground for Utopia development. The Genesis Server for the age beginning in July 2008 is based on Utopia: The Age of the Scholar and has the following unique rule additions:


- There are no Island Distance penalties.
- Less action is required to start war.
- Networth is only shown for provinces over $100,000.
- Provinces cannot reset themselves before the game starts.


- 50% more starting Honor
- 25% more Income
- 25% higher Food Production
- 25% higher Rune Production
- 25% faster Attack Times


- Kingdoms are limited to 12 players each
- Artisans have a +25% Bonus to capacity & flat rate buildings
- Orc science penalty is 10%
- Lower military losses in Plunder attacks
- War does not affect provinces under protection
- Science system prices have been tweaked

To help reduce server load, time "ticks" in Genesis 30 minutes ahead of the normal servers. For example, a Utopian Day will last from 1:30pm to 2:30pm instead of 2pm to 3pm.


Unlike our Primary Servers, the Utopian Genesis is not a continuing game. That is, when the games ends, players and kingdoms will not be transferred to a new round. You may play one account in this server in addition to an account in one of our primary gaming servers.
