- All players will be randomly placed into a kingdom - there are no defections or restarts.
- There is no exploration or Paradise spell.
- Vacation mode can only be used for one war in the tournament.
- Players cannot reset your account or change race or personality at any time.
- There is no combat, magic, or thievery outside of war
The Great War will be a structured series of wars created by the game.
Every so often, a war will automatically commence with an enemy kingdom and
will end at a random time (generally, but not always, 3 to 5 days). The kingdom
with a favored War Meter will be given the win and the other kingdom will
receive a loss.
After war, each province will be reset to a new starting position and placed in
a freeze for 24 hours. Each fresh start will include plenty of land, resources,
and free credits to accelerate the startup phase of the game. A new war will
also be assigned to start several days later. This process will repeat until a
single winner is declared at the end of the tournament.
Once a kingdom has three losses or six or fewer players, they are eliminated.
In addition, if there is an odd number of kingdoms when the next war period
begins, the smallest remaining kingdom is eliminated. Wars will be assigned
to kingdoms based on a variety of factors - primarily war record and number
of players.
This game is truly about teamwork. Players cannot select their kingdoms and
will not be assigned kingdoms until the signup phase is complete. It is up
to kingdoms to quickly become a functioning unit and to support teammates.
Followers may have to learn to lead; leaders may have to learn to follow.
Without a cooperative kingdom, chances of survival are limited.
The great challenge is how to best handle these circumstances and survive
in this ruthless environment.
